Treasures Redeemed

Architect-turned-artist Elissa Mizell draws upon a master’s degree in design, 4 decades of sewing experience, lived experience as an Australian, and her love of sustainability to bring her brand Treasures Redeemed to life. Elissa remains committed to only using recycled materials to create unique and practical works of art to bring joy to everyday. 98% of her materials are recycled—even buttons, zippers and thread, and 75% of those materials are sourced from local charity thrift stores, so that the resources spent on supplies stays in local organizations. In the past two years, thousands of dollars in materials have supported local charities like the Caring Place Georgetown(food bank and other services), Austin’s Pets Alive thrift, Salvation Army(adult rehabilitation center), Round Rock Serving Center’s Treasures thrift stores, Hope Family Thrift (austin disaster relief network), and more—all through Elissa’s Treasures Redeemed brand.
